An Unexpected Tragedy

It was raining. Dark grey clouds looming over the plain, bringing big fat drops of water with them; all together casting an eerie shadowy blanket over the ground. Three people stood on the plain, soaked due to the thick wall of rain falling from the sky. Two were men, one was a woman. The woman had long black hair, stopping at her back-side. Her eyes were mismatched, one grey, the other green. She was wearing a long sleeved black shirt and black jeans; though her shoes were white. She was, in fact, very pretty. She looked to be in her mid-twenties, and quite pale. The man that was closest to her also had black hair, only his was short; and grey-ish blue eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans with black shoes. He was quite hansom, looking to be in his early thirties, while also quite pale. The other man was wearing all black, and completely covered; save for his eyes. The pale man with the black hair had a gash on his stomach that was bleeding profusely, though he didn’t seem to notice it.
“Give me the woman, and I promise you that no one else will be hurt,” said the man who was wearing all black. The other man glared daggers,
“I think not, Demon,” he hissed menacingly
“Now, now, now, how many times must I tell you? My name is Damien, not Demon,” said ‘Damien’ while chuckling; although it was barely heard. They were actually forced to yell over the roar of the rain, just to be able to hear each other.
“To hell with your name! You just leave Jacki alone!” yelled the other man.
“Watch what you say Jean, you could get hurt,” said Jacki in a worried tone.
“I’m more worried about you then me,” answered Jean, not looking at her.
“Quit whispering and fight! Or are we just going to stand here in the rain all day?” said Damien sarcastically, obviously getting irritated and impatient. Jean nodded, and got out a Shuriken and Kunai Knife. He threw the Shuriken, which Damien dodged with ease. But Jean had hidden the Kunai Knife, and threw it when Damien was least expecting it. It made a long gash on Damien’s side.
“Why you, I’ll kill you for that!” yelled a very frustrated Damien.
Jean smirked, “Heh, yeah right!”
Then Damien said, “Well, that is, if you don’t die from the previous wound I inflicted upon you,”
“What?” Jean looked down, and that’s all Damien needed in order to attack. Before Jean even knew what just happened, he had a Shuriken embedded into his leg and a Kunai Knife against his throat. Jean’s eyes widened and Jacki gasped in shock when she saw her brother’s condition.
Damien slit Jean’s throat.
“NO!!!!! JEAN!” Jacki yelled, tears instantly coming to her eyes.
“That’s what he gets for not listening,” said Damien, that almost insane look in his eyes. And without warning, he jumped up and started hopping away on tree branches.
Jacki ran as fast as her legs would allow- in the current, shocked state she was in – to her elder brother’s side.
“J-Jean? J-Jean? A-are you okay?” she stammered. He opened one eye, and attempted to smile- only it came out as a painful grimace. He looked as if he was trying to say something; but whatever he was trying to tell her wouldn’t come out.
“Jean, d-don’t talk. You need to s-save you e-energy for h-healing,” she stuttered. The tears were now cascading freely down her cheeks like tiny waterfalls. The grimace again appeared on his bloodied face.
“I-I’m going to d-die a-anyway, so w-what’s the p-point?” he asked. The tears came harder and faster then before.
“N-no! Y-you are NOT g-going to d-die! You’re g-going to be f-f-fine!” Jacki said between sobs. But he didn’t seem to hear her. He coughed, and blood spurted out from both his neck and his mouth, making two little red rivers down both sides of his neck.
“G-good bye, dear sister. Let’s hope we don’t see each other any time s-soon,” he barely got to finish his sentence before all the light faded from his eyes, and the color left his skin.
“NOO!!!”
