Tears of Blood

It started out as a normal day for Team 7.
Uchiha Obito was late, as usual.
Hatake Kakashi complained about it as usual.
Minaminoto Rin was all over Kakashi as usual.
And Namikaze Minato was trying to prevent a fight, as usual.
Same as any other day.
“You’re late again, dobe!”
“It’s not my fault, teme! I got sidetracked, that’s all!”
“Oh really? By what, might I ask? No, never mind, I don’t want to hear another one of your lies.”
“TEME!”
“Don’t call him that, Obito!”
“But Rin-chan!”
“Now, now guys. Be nice. We have a mission today, so we need to get along.”
“Hmph.”
“Hmph.”
“Okay sensei.”

--

“What’s the mission?” Obito asked, now curious. He wanted to know what they were doing. Plus, walking around seemingly aimlessly in silence was getting to him.
“We have to get a secret scroll about a spying Jutsu that Kumogakure has, because Konohagakure found a spy and the village has never seen this Jutsu before, so we need to read up on and research it.”
“Oh…”
It was quiet again.
“Where’d Rin go?” Kakashi asked, looking around. “She was here just a minute ago.”
“Hmm, I don’t know. I didn’t know she left.” Obito said, also looking around.
“Well, people don’t just disappear. She must have gone somewhere.” Said Minato, a thoughtful expression showing on his face.
When they reached the Konohagakure gates, Obito looked up at his sensei.
“We’re not gonna leave without Rin, are we?”
“She’ll catch up, we have to do this fast or else risk being caught. That means we don’t have time to be waiting around.” Minato said, walking forward again; for Obito had stopped them.
“If you say so…”

--

We had been walking for about half an hour now and Rin still hadn’t shown up. I was beginning to worry.
“We’re almost there. I don’t want us to be discovered, so we’ll take a new route.” Minato-sensei said, and took a left into the forest that we had been walking next to for a while.
Kakashi and I nodded, and followed him.

After walking through the forest for about half an hour, sensei suddenly stopped us.
“We’re being followed.” He whispered. I blinked. Why hadn’t I noticed?
Because you’re an idiot. Said a voice in my head.
Oh shut up Madara, nobody asked you. I snapped. Madara ‘hmphed’ and shut up.
“How many?” Kakashi asked, looking around.
“About three or four; five at most.” Minato replied, standing straight again.
The people who were following us seemed to realize that they had been noticed, because they stepped out from a line of thick bushes to our right. There were five of them, and they all had Kumogakure Hitai-ates.
“How long have you been following us?” Minato-sensei asked, his expression impassive.
“Quite a while.” Announced the man in the middle, whom was obviously the leader.
“What do you want from Kumogakure?” Asked a guy to the leaders left.
“That would be none of your concern.” Replied sensei casually.
“It is every bit our concern! Kumogakure is our village, therefore we demand you tell us what you’re business here is!” Asked the leader, he was obviously agitated.
“First, my name is Namikaze Minato. Now will you kindly introduce yourselves?”
“My name is Raidon.” Said the leader, and then introduced the others. Evidently, the guy on his left’s name was Kin.
I have a bad feeling about this… Madara said.
What do you mean? Obito asked.
Something bad is going to happen. Madara answered, but left it at that.
“By the way, do you know a little Kunoichi by the name of Minaminoto Rin?” Asked Raidon, smirking.
My eyes widened. “Where is she?!” I demanded without thinking.
“Oh, we have her. And we won’t give her back until you tell us why you’re here!” Kin answered. He disappeared for a minute, and then came back with Rin in his arms, looking scared.
“Rin-chan!” I yelled, concerned.
Minato-sensei glared at them.
“Well? Are you going to tell us, or should we have to kill her?” Raidon said, as Kin put a Kunai to Rin’s throat.
“If you kill her, we won’t tell you a thing.” Said Minato-sensei said in a matter-of-fact way.
“Well then, we’ll just have to torture her until you do tell us.”
“Tch.” Minato-sensei was frustrated now, I could tell. “I’m afraid we can’t tell you anything.”
What is he thinking?! Rin will get hurt if he doesn’t say anything!
Idiotic kid, think about it. Minato would never let any one of you get hurt. He must have some kind of plan. Madara said, irritated at his host’s stupidity.
Raidon growled.
“Well, since that won’t work, why don’t you take care of her, eh Kin?”
“Will do, Raidon-danna.” Kin answered. But before he could do anything else, Rin was suddenly grabbed from his hands, and he was falling to the ground with a Kunai in his back.
The Minato-sensei next to me poofed away as the real Minato jumped behind us holding a very surprised Rin.
He put Rin down and got into a fighting stance. Raidon growled again, and ordered his men to attack us, joining them a minute later.
The battle went on for a while. Kunai here, Shuriken there, some Ninjutsu somewhere in the middle. But it was mostly Taijutsu.
I was mainly fighting Raidon, while Kakashi was mainly fighting Kin.
Neither of us noticed that Raidon and Kin were pushing us deeper into the forest, and away from Minato-sensei and Rin.
By the time we did notice, it was too late. We were already too far away from our two other team mates to contact them. We were on our own.
Kin suddenly fell to the ground, but not before injuring Kakashi by stabbing him in the leg.
Kakashi let out a pained grunt as Kin fell the rest of the way. Whether he was dead or merely unconscious was impossible to tell from the angle I was at. Raidon suddenly charged at me, fist glowing with strange Chakra. I felt that now was the best time to use my new Jutsu.
Inu, Uma, Ino, Tora…
“Kuroirai no Jutsu!”
Black Chakra, which looked like lightning, appeared in my hand. I ran toward Raidon, and our fists met. But something was wrong. The two Jutsu seemed to mix together, and spread out in a deadly force. I was thrown back, whamming my head against a tree. My vision started to blur, and I hurt all over.
“Obito!” I heard Kakashi yell, but I was unable to respond. The last thing I saw before the darkness covered my eyes like a blanket was Raidon falling to the ground and Kakashi running over to me. Then nothing.

--
After I killed Kin, I saw Raidon run toward Obito while building up some kind of weird Chakra in his left hand. Then I saw Obito make four hand signs.
Dog, Horse, Boar, Tiger …
Then he yelled “Kuroirai no Jutsu!”
Black Lightning Jutsu? I thought. I had never heard of that Jutsu before.
Obito’s right hand was engulfed in what appeared to be black Chakra that was very similar to lightning. Obito ran toward Raidon and their fists made contact.
But something didn’t seem right. Both Jutsu seemed to mix, and backfire against the two. Both Raidon and Obito were thrown back. Obito slammed against the tree behind him, while Raidon was just thrown back.
“Obito!” I yelled without thinking. His injuries were surprisingly bad. He had what seemed to be first or second-degree burns on his right hand. Plus, he hit his head pretty hard. That could also cause damage. Then I noticed that his hand and his head were both bleeding. His head more so then his hand.
That’s what got me really worried.
I ran over to him, and reached him just as he passed out. I turned to Raidon, who stood up. He wobbled a bit, but he was still conscious. I wanted to fix that.
I didn’t know what this feeling was. Anger? Hatred? I felt like I needed to kill him for hurting Obito, yet I had no idea why.
I stood up and glared at Raidon.
Then I grabbed a Kunai from my pouch, and ran at him full speed. I stabbed him in the chest. I took a step back and pulled the Kunai out.
He was dead in less than a minute.
I ran back over to Obito. His head and hand were still bleeding, but I had no idea what to do. I looked around, but realized that I had no idea where we were.
Damn. I thought. Now was not the time to be lost.
I put Obito’s arm around my shoulder and lifted him up. He was surprisingly light, and was easy to carry.

After walking a while, I came across a safe-looking clearing. I put Obito up against a tree and started looking for sticks to make a fire with.

As soon as I had a fire going, I went back over to my unconscious team mate.
I sat next to him and just looked at him for a while.

I don’t remember falling asleep, but I must have, because one moment it was after dark and the next thing I know I’m opening my eyes to find myself cuddling with Obito in the morning light. I had wrapped bandages around his hand and head to stop the bleeding last night so that he wouldn’t die of blood loss. What bothered me was that he wasn’t awake yet. He didn’t seem to have woken while I was asleep, since he hadn’t moved at all. He had been unconscious since yesterday afternoon for some unknown reason, which bothered me.
I was no medical ninja, but I could tell that something was wrong. I knew that he should be awake by now, but he wasn’t.
Something wasn’t right, I just didn’t know what.

--

The incident with Kin and Raidon had been two days ago, and Obito still wasn’t awake. I didn’t think that he had hit his head that hard, so what was wrong? Why wasn’t he waking up? And where were Minato and Rin? God, I had never wished for Rin’s presence more then I wished for it now.
I often found myself staring at Obito, as if my gaze was enough to make the other boy regain his consciousness. But it never worked.
At that moment, I was sitting next to Obito, looking up and the dark sky. The stars where very pretty tonight. Of course, they were pretty every night. But tonight was a cloudless night, with a half-moon shining over-head, little white dots twinkling brightly. It was peaceful. Relaxing.
The moonlight was shining on Obito at a perfect angle. It reflected off of his naturally pale skin in a way that made him look very handsome.
Wait, what was I thinking? I thought Obito was handsome? Maybe that Kin guy did more to me than I thought. Or maybe that’s what I really thought. I really hoped it was the former.

--

Where am I? Was my first thought.
Well, you’re not dead, that’s for sure. Came Madara’s voice.
Well, that’s one good thing about today. I said, or thought.
I opened my eyes, only to shut them once again due to the blinding morning light.
I squinted, and once my eyes adjusted to the light, I looked around.
Kakashi must have moved me, because this isn’t the place where we had fought with Raidon and Kin.
Speaking of Kakashi, he was currently cuddled up next to me, looking as though he had been crying.
I raised an eyebrow at this, and then looked at his leg. It wasn’t bleeding anymore, so he must have taken care of it.
Then I realized that I was a little dizzy. I put it aside as the after-effects form the blow I took to my head though.
As I looked around a bit more, I realized that we were in a small clearing. In the center there was a pile of burned sticks, no doubt from previous fires.
Kakashi stirred. Then he opened his eyes and looked around blearily. He then noticed that I was awake. He just stared at me for a minute.
I was starting to get uncomfortable, so I waved a little. “Hi, Kakashi.”
Then, without warning, Kakashi threw himself on me in a tight embrace.
“Do you have any idea how much you scared me last night?” He asked into my chest.
“Uhh…no.” I answered. I scared Kakashi? What the hell was going on?
“You suddenly stopped breathing. You wouldn’t respond to anything. I tried CPR, and for a while that didn’t work. I was almost convinced that you were gone for good when you started breathing again. I almost lost you…”
Kakashi was crying into my shirt. He was actually crying! And about me too! Was the world coming to an end?
“Umm…well, I’m okay now, so you don’t have to worry.” I patted his back, trying to comfort him.
It went on like this for a while. Kakashi crying into my chest and me, trying to comfort him as best I could. After a while Kakashi calmed down, and sat up. He still had some tears in his eyes, so I unintentionally and, more instinctively than anything, wiped them away with my thumb. I pulled my hand back quickly.
“Sorry…”
“No, i-it’s okay…”
An awkward silence washed over us for a few minutes.
Then I asked, “Where are Minato-sensei and Rin?”
“I don’t know. We’ve been here for three days now, and I haven’t seen any sign of them.” Kakashi replied, his voice a bit scratchy from crying.
“Oh…I see…”
More silence.
Then, out of nowhere, Kakashi pulled down his mask and touched his lips to mine.
I was beyond shocked. Definitely was not expecting this. But soon the effects of the kiss kicked in, and I closed my eyes. I leaned into the kiss, making it deeper. Kakashi’s tongue licks my lower lip, asking for entrance. I granted him permission, and opened my mouth. My tongue explored his mouth, while his explored mine. Then our tongues had a little battle, which Kakashi won.
Our little make-out session was cut short, because I sensed someone, two people, coming our way and I had to break the kiss.
“Someone’s coming.” I said, noticing the disappointment written all over Kakashi’s face.
“Sorry about that, I couldn’t help it…” He said, looking at the ground.
“Nah, it’s okay. I liked it.” I said, smiling. Kakashi looked up, and smiled back. Then he pulled his mask up, and we waited for our guests to show up.
The ‘guests’ turned out to be Minato-sensei and Rin.
“Well it’s about time you guys!” I said, smiling.
“Yeah, it’s been three days. Where have you been?” Kakashi asked, putting on his indifferent act.
“Sorry, we kind of got ourselves captured. Partly on purpose though.” Rin said, brushing the dirt and leaves from her shirt.
“Yeah. Good news is, we got the scroll. Now we can head home. By the way, what happened to you, Obito?” Minato-sensei asked, noticing the bandages around my head and hand.
“Eh, I’ll explain later.” I said, shrugging. I got up, and wobbled a bit; but I regained my balance and followed Minato-sensei and Rin out of the forest.

--

Once we got home, I went to the hospital for my injuries. They were quickly healed, and I was out and about the next day.
The first place I went to was Kakashi’s apartment. I convinced him to go to Ichiraku Ramen with me.
“Please~?” I begged.
“I don’t know…” Kakashi said, smirking. “I’m going to need some kind of payment in return…”
Knowing what kind of payment he meant, I went over to him and kissed him, since his mask was off.
“Now?’
“Well…alright.”
“YAY!”
I dragged him to the Ramen stand and ordered Chicken flavored. He ordered Miso, and when our food got there, we slurped it up.
After Ramen, I took him back to his apartment.

Then Kakashi took me to his room, and pushed me on the bed. He kissed me. It started out passionate, and then it became deeper, more needy. He removed my shirt, and, in turn, I removed his. He continued to kiss me from my mouth, to my neck, to my chest, and to my stomach. He put both of his thumbs inside my pants, and looked at me, as if asking permission. I nodded, and he pulled them off.
Once I pulled his pants off, things started getting more serious.

--

The next morning, I woke up with Kakashi’s body half-way on mine, his head resting on my bare chest. I played with his hair affectionately. Last night had been fun.
Pretty much all I’m going to say now is that neither of us were virgins anymore, as of last night.
It should have been disturbing, having sex with another person the same gender as you. But with Kakashi, it just felt normal. As if this is the way it was supposed to be. Kakashi’s body fit perfectly alongside mine, and vice versa.
It was last night that I realized that I loved Kakashi. And Kakashi probably figured the same thing out about me.

We were in love.
And no one could change that.
